PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS IN BUNDABERG

ADHD Assessment

For individuals who may experience inattention, hyperactivity, emotional regulation issues, or executive functioning challenges.

Includes:

  • Clinical interview (with family input if appropriate)

  • Behavioural questionnaires

  • Attention & cognitive testing

  • Diagnostic report with recommendations for school, home, or work

Autism Assessment

Helps identify characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder across communication, behaviour, and social interaction.

Includes:

  • Developmental and social history

  • Standardised autism screening tools

  • Clinical observation

  • Comprehensive diagnostic report

  • NDIS recommendations (additional cost)

Learning Disorders

For difficulties with reading, writing, or maths (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia).

Includes:

  • Academic achievement testing

  • Cognitive/IQ testing

  • Diagnostic differentiation between learning difficulty vs disorder

  • Recommendations for learning support and school/university/workplace accommodations

Intellectual Disability Assessment

Formal assessment of cognitive functioning, adaptive behaviour, and developmental history to determine support needs.

Includes:

  • IQ and adaptive functioning assessments

  • Structured interviews

  • Reports for NDIS

NDIS Functional Capacity

The purpose of a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia is to determine an individual’s functional capacity and how their disability or condition impacts upon their daily life and ability to participate in activities.

Includes:

  • Structured interviews

  • Review of medical and support history

  • NDIS-ready reporting with clear, goal-oriented recommendations

We work with individuals across all life stages:

  • Children (age 6+) showing signs of learning, behavioural, or developmental concerns

  • Teens and young adults struggling with focus, academic achievement, or social challenges

  • Adults seeking clarity or a late diagnosis for ADHD or autism

  • Parents, teachers, and health professionals seeking guidance or formal documentation

Referrals are welcome but not required as Medicare rebates may not apply.

In 2023, the Medical Board of Australia issued updated guidelines to include the mandatory assessment of  any person considering cosmetic surgery. Individuals  must undergo an evaluation of their mental health and understanding of informed consent prior to accessing a surgical plastic or cosmetic procedure.
